Early evening is the best time for this beautiful clifftop walk into Reculver (approx 2 miles) - watch the sun set over the sea and the moon rise over the fields - paradise! Do the walk in the day and be sure to take your binoculars - Skylarks and Sand Martins to name but a few and the odd seal!
A lovely stroll into Herne Bay for that well earned ice cream!
Reculver - steeped in history the church occupies the site of a Roman Fort. There is a visitor centre full of information - and if you feel up to it try to look for shark's teeth (60 million years old) and fossils on the beach - I've found them!
Another view of Reculver where Barnes-Wallis tested his bouncing bomb. After your walk why not stop for a bite to eat in the King Ethelbert, before you walk back or perhaps walk even further on! Why not bring your bikes and cycle round the coast.
